have still been looking for lambo-door kits for the Z (although Z-centre say they are close to perfecting a 90' kit) was looking at a kit on e-bay and asked for some better pics... said he didn't have any but had some of a poopra he had fitted a kit to.... have a look

i have researched this till im fkn blue in the face, seen the hinges, seen them fitted checked em over.. what more can i say..

 

if your gonna get lambo hinges get the gt factory ones, they are weld on but there is a way to have a botl on door plate made and thenyou wled to this the hinge shoe, then you make a botl weld plate on the wing and weld to that.

 

the gt factory hinges are the best and strongest available..

 

if you buy crap you get crap..

Apart from them looking good, what's the point? The ones in the video on that link open 'normally' first then swing up anyway. Am I missing the elegence of the art, or something.

They have to open out before swinging up to clear the bodywork.

think im going to hold out for the z-centre one's as his will be bolt on and in the UK so if i have any problems i can take them back and after speaking to luke for a while about it he seems switched on to what people want from the kit,

Does the real Diablo doors open in an L-shape motion, or straight up?

Here is Z Centres prototype lambo door kit at about 90 degrees etc.No prices yet.

You really need atleast ~85 degrees to be able to come out of the Z, I think anything under would make it impossible to come out easily.

I think the pictures of the Supra are deceptive. I'm sure I saw that blue one at a show earlier in the year and when you open them they actually point away from the car; i.e. if both the doors were open they would be kind of a V shape if that makes sense :rofl:
