Simon,

I need to source an oil that shows the same characteristics at room temperature (~20 deg C) as engine oil at typical operating temperature of a turbocharged diesel engine (~100 deg C).

I need it for my final year project at university, hope you can help.

Thanks

Yaseen

This will be a very thin oil, around 14cst at room temp.

What's it for?

I'm running a turbo at low speeds off an engine to do some testing, I can't say too much as its a sponsored project from a manufacturer so i'd get a :slap:

Thanks Simon, don't know if this is any help but my supervisor was on about a Shell test oil called T10 which is used to test diesel injectors. Might be complete crap though cos he was very vague and wasn't too sure about it himself.

Received your email bud, but lycos won't show anything. Can you send it to yp11 @ le.ac.uk please (without the spaces).
