I would appreciate any tips and advice on the Apexi BOV's. Ideally from owners of UK auto's with them fitted. I have fitted them to my Z and as far as I can tell they are working fine, as I said any pointers greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If they go pssshhhhttt then they're working LOL

Will only make a noise when you back off though, not on gear changes as with a manual.

Just wondering if there were any "secrets", anything I may have missed!

They are working, they gp psssh if I ease off the gas after about 4K revs. I knew I wouldn't get the same action as a manual but just wondering if there was anything else to know about them from an auto point of view?

lol - THAT'S IT!!! ;)

(there is a little secret tho - turn the sound selector rings to 87.3 degrees and you'll get an extra 17bhp but dont tell anyone) :D :D

Ok, the sound selector ring, which one is loudest and which is quietest?

ive never really experimented - i assume the smaller ring would give a louder noise as the air is forced through more than the larger ring. i really ought to try them out sometime...

That is whay I assumed as well. When I can be motivated to remove slam panel and nose panel I might have a tinker.

you should be able to get at them from under the front of the car quite easily - depending on what bumper you have i suppose :)

I can get to the one on the passenger side through the bumper but as I have a UK Auto there is a lot of pipework and other bits, that I have know idea what they are, that get in the way on the drivers side so I had to mount it vertically.

And yes, the smaller holes do give the loudest sound ;)

when mine was an automatic i had to relocate the aftermarket oil cooler slightly for the BOVs to fit. i suppose UK coolers are a nightmare to work around

Suprisingly I think I may have moved my oil cooler by nno more than 2mm towards the passenger side. What I do like as I play more is that with the auto you have so much more control over when they go off. I don't think it is going to do my fuel economy any good for the short term until the novelty wears off - if it ever does!
