Automatic Transmision Fluid - how do I check it?

I have done a search with no luck as yetm but will look again - I have not driven an automatic zed before and I just wondered how you check/fill the automatic transmission fluid.

I also wanted to top up the Power steering fluid level, but it's a right pain to check the level- I can see the scale on the rod under the fluid resevoir cap, but I can't tell how much fluid is in there, which I guess means it needs topping up. There are two little plastic washer things that seem to get in the way. Do I just put in a bit of standard ATF?

Thank you - I'll go and have a check. I used to have a TT manual for my NA (?) but it went with the car when I sold it.

Check the auto box fluid with the engine running and top up through the dipstick tube,

Exactly!!

Ideally go for a 15 minute drive to get the 'box warm, park on level ground and leave the engine running then move the gear selector from P down to 1 and back to P slowly, then check the level.

Also check the condition and smell - it should be nice and pink and have no traces of burning smells, blackness or other nasties.

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
