got this idea  dont know iff theres any kit out there for the boosted air temp just before it goes into the plenum, must be something that could be plumbed into the hard pipe (digital sensor) and would be really intresting to monitor the charged air temp before it goes in :smash: iff there is such a thing on the market then who does it????????, iff not why :smash: :smash:

Any thermocouple into the plenum would be OK.

SPA do universal temp gauges. Use a dual one and put one on either side of the intercoolers.

Was always going to do that before I got p'd off with turbo engines.

 so lets go into partnership john and develop this fantastic device then in 2 years time we can ask bill gates to move his car as we cant get into our driveway. no seriously thought it would help the detonation prob iff we could monitor inlet temps

thermocouple--eeerrrrm

You could do a complete bodge and get one of those inside outside digital temp monitors and adapt it :)

inside outside thermometers have a huge response time and will be far too laggy for that job, an RTD type temp sender from another car airtemp input would be a shout. but callibrating a gauge for i and it looking tidy in the car is another thing, a typeK T/C would be good bet. and im sure Maplin or the like would supply the T/C and a Meter to read it.

being typeK it might be compatible with aftermarket gauges but ul have to check.

Going for a direct spray of C02 for mine once I go over 24psi of boost.

how is your car now mac? i was told that it went up in flames recently. hope it wasnt too bad. hope you get it sorted soon.

LOL It did but now its all sorted infact 45 mins after the fire we went on to make another 35bhp.

The car is AWESOME and only running 20psi,plenty more bhp left when the twin fuel pumps are fitted.

LOL - JD-Z's car was running that today - not intentionally though !!!!! :smash:
