I know this probably has been asked many times, but can anyone suggest any good insurance companies for dealing with imported 300zx Twin Turbo's

 

I am seriously considering purchasing one but am having major trouble on the insurance front.

 

as a matter of interest i am 27 with Full No Claims, Held a license for 10 years with no claims or convictions and i live in Essex.

 

So far im getting quotes around £1300 Comp. which seems mega.

 

Can anyone get them under a grand?

 

any info would be greatly appreciated.

Bell Direct, Tescos - have a look in the "price comparison" forum...

 

Mine was £1700 with Bell Direct - 24, similar stats but 4yrs NCB..

 

I think it's only women who get cheap insurance (and still manage to write their cars off at 30Mph.. )

speak to Firebond, I am not too sure if they still cover imports but got a reasonable deal with them.

Also check out the search facility on this site, there's been loads of info on this with numbers to call and prices people have got etc....

Try Tesco, Admiral, Norwich Union (thru a broker, not Direct), Adrian Flux and I'm sure someone will come up with some others.

A Plan, Barclays and Barclaycard all do modded imports.

 

Definately worth a try!

A-Plan with mods and points = £600 fully comp, business use on an import.

Nick, are you definitely set on buying an import? The insurance will be cheaper on a UK Spec Zed.

try insurance factory, i got a realy good price for an import with them. i havnet got the number to hand but you can find it in the back of any rves, redline etc magazine etc.
