Jim, they are tops drop me an email and i can go through a range of exhausts for you :)

One (if not THE) more popular exhaust choices for the zed. Its probably the quietest and most subtle looking too.

All depends on what you want out of it, but if its a Well made SS exhaust with a subtle sound and visual improvement over stock, then yes its the ideal exhaust.

If you want something a louder and more prominent, there are various other options, although I'd be tempted to go for a Custom made one from somewhere like Alunox (sp?)

i got one and they are great keeps the 4 tail pipe layout arnt too loud and give a nice sound.

agreed! ive got one i think they sound nice.. definately louder than a stock system.

i have one and it sounds nice, sometimes i want a louder exhaust but the mongoose sounds lovely after a hard run trundling along at 2000rpm

i got one & work in canterbury if you want a look/listen ;)

The Mongoose system is made in by Blue Flame Performance in Skelmersdale. They also make the exhausts for TVR and Lotus. They will do you a custom system for a LOT less than the price of a branded one. I have heard nothing but good things about them and will prob be using them myself in the near future.

Guys I took a visit to blue flame nice shop, cool guys and have done lots of full systems for zeds. I will be there next month getting my custom system done

how much is your custom system costing you?

full system is "around 700 notes" fitted at their factory off the M6. Trouble is I am still un-decided about de-catting or not. Note they have the blue flame cat back systems on ebay all the time cheaper than mongoose (which they make anyway)

doesnt so much damage them as seems to show up a problem more if the tubs are worn. its not really high boost thats the problem.

the seals on the turbos rely on a little back pressure to help them seal. decatting reduces this back pressure & can cause smoking as the oil seeps through. if the tubs are good then you will be ok.

It seems from many posts that the stock exhaust can cover up a thousand ills. When I dropped my exhaust last week to do all ths bushings it was clear that the back boxes will not last the winter and god only knows how much has collapsed inside. I reckon the back pressure could be way above stock now with all the collapsed baffles etc.. It seems that when people de-cat or change the exhaust the resulting drop in back pressure reveals what were either turbo seals that were shot or about to go anyway. I want a system with Hi-flow cats as my front pipes are not in good nick either, but am totally worried about my turbo seals. It is probably denial but does anyone have a good news story about this?

there are actually loads of people that have de-catted without any problems at all!
