I have just got my Z and am loving every second of it. I had the car up on the ramps at work to check the underside and the condition of the exhaust. Please excuse my ignorance but I am wondering what the smaller pipe that joins the large diameter pipe on each side is? Am I correct in thinking that it is something to do with the turbos? If so how do you go about replacing the exhaust? Thanks all!

If its about 15mm diameter then i think its the pipes going to your AIV's.

These all help adjust the air level in the cats i think

someone please correct me if im wrong :wack:

This shows them as weeny little pipes on the sides just before the catalytic convertors:-

Thats them. I suppose that if you fit a cat back exhaust system they don't matter but how do you go about a manifold back system?

Just block off the small pipes when you change the exhaust.

You could remove them with all the AIV junk from under the wings.
