Hi Guys

 

Gotta have my front windscreen removed so i can have my car sprayed but need to know how much it will cost me to have a new one fitted if by accident my original one is cracked whilst being removed

 

Does anyone know of anyone who can supply me a second hand windscreen and i need it to be delivered near Grimsby

 

If brand new then how much are we looking at?

 

Names and numbers of companies would be good

dont u have winscreen cover on ur insurance bud ?? £50 for new one then !!

maybe the bodyshop 'accidentally' put a hammer through it when trying to remove it... im sure the windscreen excess on isurance will cover it

but you'll probably have to wait until next year to get one if you have a special bronze tint on it etc .

If you have a bronze tinted screen (jap spec), then you just get the much nicer Blue tinted (UK spec) screen instead

Wouldn't it be nicer still to have all the tinted windows match ?

 

I seem to recollect Jeff posting somewhere recently that they were available at quite a reasonable cost - try a search.

The windscreen has'int been smashed YET, he has offered to keep the windscreen in and mask it over when spraying but i prefer to have a proper job done and want it taken out.

He has said that when removing it, the chances are it may crack as its rather akward, my car is a jap 1990 import and have no idea if it is tinted or not but i want a rough example how much it would cost me to replace it, if its too much then i wont bother and have him mask it over

Im waiting for the opportunity to replace mine, hate the bronze tint, give a nasty "brown" tint to the interior from the outside, but it is'nt strong enough to notice any difference between the other windows when you just replace the front.
