The only time i come on here is unfortunetly when i have bad news.

well here goes it still doesn't seem real...

Leigh went out on friday night with a mate he has known for years, who at 2:15am had to call me to tell me that their was an ambulance on the way to the club they were in to take leigh to hospital, this time it wasn't chrones that had sent him in.

The dance floor was so wet that he slipped fell on the wooden floor, but managed to get up, but then the pain hit him and he had the sudden urge to bend his knee (v bad sign)

They took him to city hospital where thay gave him pain relif (but not enough as the nurses on that ward later told us-they have made a complait themselves) he had an x-ray it came back as he had broken his hip at the front.

They took him into threatre just after 9:00 and he was there for 3hrs, they had put pins in the hip to sercure it in place,at the moment we do not know how many.

As you all know leigh has chrones and this can cause problems in threatre as his bones could have been to brittle to mend or he could have had a serious bleed, but thank god he came out still in pain but with no complications.

They have said he will not beable to put wheight on it for about 6 weeks(and we were off to Paris on Saturday).

They wanted to get him into a wheelchair today but at the moment he is in too much pain due to the op and his chrones has kicked in.

Sorry if this post doesn't make complete sense as lack of sleep is starting to set in.

Sorry to hear that darlin, hope she has a speedy recovery,

I will let him know you are all thinkin of him, as he hates it in the hospital, and this time he has no internet access(don't think he has realised yet). Lets put it this way its just a good job that Steves got his car because i think it will send him mad if it was just sitting at home.

Get well soon Leigh :(

Sorry to hear that. :(

I wish Leigh a speedy recovery too

How about taking him in a wireless laptop so he can keep in touch with the forum and hopefully stave off the boredom of sitting around in hospital!!

All the best,

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Sh1t, hes having abad time of it, give him all my best for a quick recovery.

Also I know it's probably not what he is thinking about, but he should consider the liability of the club, may help offset some bills while he is off his feet.

Bad stuff always happens to good people :headvswal I wish Leigh a speedy recovery :(

Feel so sorry for Leigh, some of us have good health and others have problem after problem - if only nature distributed it more evenly !!Then again on the reciept (birth certificate) it doesn't say anywhere its fair :( Hope you have a speedy recovery mate, take it easy and no more clubbing !!

Tell me about it, in the last month in has been in hospital for two weeks he only just managed to get out of having an op then because he knew moer about his consition than they do then he came out and then when he is going on a night out for the very first time in ages because he hasn't been well for ages he goes and lands him self back in hospital.

Unfortunatly they won't let him have a laptop and if they did it would go walkies in a matter of minutes, he has a Very interesting old man in the bed next to him which i'm sure will keep him amused, as when leigh's mom, myself and john were over visiting yesterday, he deided in full veiw of the whole ward to help himself out (to put it in a nice way) :hurl:
