Christ! I didn't realise that when your engine blows it will scatter the bits THAT far away! :D ;)

Bring it on I will still be 56mile ahead when that happens  :D;)

:D Lol! :D ;)

Not sure what to do with my kit, have it for show with a purge kit, or go for it an install the lot.

I spoke to peter at Nistek a while a go and he said to me about using it as an antilag system, But being as the turbos im running are not that laggy theres not much point.

I was always told that Nos and turbos run well together, but then I have also heard about a lot of bottom ends giving up because of it.

Im after the 500bhp bench mark, if I hit it without Nos then that will do me if not its gotto be :duffer:

Did any one see that old jag on topgear a while ago? it went up against the top production cars of all time come last. They put 500bhp shot of nos on it and it rinced the lot of them

Yup, remember that! :D

I'm the same. Hoping for around 500bhp without gas but I'd like to think it's there to give it a kick up the arse if needed! ;) :D

lol..exactly

NoZ rocks

As long as the engine is prepped

LOL if I lose at the first set of lights its not happening at the second :)

Nitrous has become very popular over the last 3 years mainly to Fast and furious I guess

500hp

500hp

Preliminary calcs suggest it should be attainable! Probably end up more like 450 with mine though  But Johns on the other hand...well, let's just say if all goes to plan it should be VERY interesting ;)

yer...it was pretty not heard off in 97 mainly on drag cars/bikes etc...but more of a home made job...but now the market has hold of it and its getting cheaper.

I payed nearly £700 for my Noz kit in 97 and now I can get a twin kit for wayyyyyyyyy less

Altough the Noz is still the same price....about £30-£40 a bottle depending on size

Well i intend to get N.O.S. on my motor..............................and have it hooked to face mask then i can sit in it at home laughing my t*ts off when the missis moans i spend too much time on me motor !!!!! P.S. i,ll save a packet on toofipeg extraction as well hee hee :wack: :wack:

Just remember too, if you're running a noz kit you really need a twin map ECu as you'll have to retard the timing a fair bit with a big charge.

If you do a single map for noz then it'll be down on power when you're not using it.

Bring it on I will still be 56mile ahead when that happens  :D;)

Nurburgring sound like a good test when they're both finished ?

I had NOS in my coupe, made a massive improvement, the only thing about NOS is that it runs out,

My coupe was a 2ltr, and I had a 60bhp shot put in, had it running for 8 months before I got rid of it, never had any problems, and never had to upgrade any engine parts, or even change spark plugs. I had mine to come in on full throttle, (non of that button pushing crap). I think if your after big gains at CHEAPER costs then go for NOS, but remember it will cost you £30-£50 to fill up a bottle which probably wont last more than 10 runs on a 1/4 mile strip if that. The main gains on NOS are not Bhp but in torque, and thats whats important.

found this on the net about NOS, shows just how good it is.

NOS

TOTB will be much better?

Nah, not interested in straight line stuff, it's going to have a short diff on it, so will probably top out quite quickly.

That's presuming I even get it finished for then, rate things are going recently, might make it for 2010

Will be interesting to see where the different strengths / weaknesses of each setup lie though. Normally reckoned a turbo car, all else being equal needs about 30% more power than an NA to stay in touch on the circuit (obviously not drag, very long straight circuits etc.)

Well John as you know I built my car for TOTB 04 but that was never going to happen, big projects can just drag on and on. :(

The car does handle very very well with the Tein flex set up so I can strongly recommend getting that for yours. The Noble that I wasted the other day was not on a big straight there were some nice sweeping bends that we were hitting at 90mph but on the straight I had at least 20 car lengths up on him.(very hard to believe with such an awesome car).

At last this has all come together and I am more than happy with the results so far, hope yours will be as rewarding to you and I am sure it will.

Yeah, lets hope so. As you say, these things can take for ever!! Expecting to have to do a fair bit of dyno work on things like exhaust manifolds and intake lengths too once it's all bolted together.

TBH, I don't find it that hard to believe you pulled off him like that. The sort of mid-range torque you're generating will see most things off under the right conditions. Be a bit exciting in the wet I imagine. Was it a GTO(2.5l) or a GTO3/3R/M400? Think the M400 would be a struggle.

Yes it was the M12 GTO 3R very tail happy even in the dry.

i had nos in my tuned sierra xr4x4..and loved it , until it blew the arse out the engine one day at standstill. It was linked up so it came in at full throttle only. I left it on after a race and and revved the car up out of gear and in came the NOS and BANG !!!! ha ha ha oh well cheap fun while it lasted !! Not for a zed though as i have spent to much to watch it go bang !!

But the twin purge kit with a hose under both front arches and that was alot more fun !! press the button and peole wondered what the hell it was and did look good must admit. was professionally installed and setup by nitrous solutions in essex ..excellent bunch.

As has been said here before, I've always thought NOS was of use at the low end to compensate for the lag in turbocharged cars. Whats the score with that then ?!

....when Greddy spool V8s drool  :D;)

Wasn't that Wazzas' old MSN sig??? lmao......... the old days :p
