my car is running like a bag of shite, missing slighty, hesitation when pulling away, sometimes backfiring and rough running at about 2000 rpm through to 3500rpm (but not much lack in power when oing flat out)

 

now for the bit thats getting me, when i dissconect my maf and put it back together it works fine all probs gone and drives brilliant

 

BUT after 50 miles or so it goes back to normal (running like shite) ive tried resetting my ecu but this doesnt help only when i dissconect and reconnect the maf that it runs great (for a while)

 

anyone know what sort of prob ive got

Have you tried changing it with some one else's?

Tried cleaning the connections?

 

Did you do an ECU check?

ecu check all clear, i tried one from mujina and got the same thing it was ok till about 30 miles or so then got worse again

 

also all connections are clear gonna check that none of the copper connectors are bent out of place tonite when i get finished work

prob worth checking the pins in the wiring loom to see if there corroded or have a poor connection, pull the rubber boot back to check at the point where they are crimped
