Hi All, recently fitted my superb Indiglo Dials from Vijay's GB (top job m8).

Thinking of ways to re-route the yellow 'low fuel' light on the fuel guage that is now blocked off.

The only real way i can think of so far is to have a small Led sticking out of the black plastic front facia that holds the Overdrive and Power lights on the right-hand side of the steering wheel.

Was just wandering what you guys have done to overcome this? I know alot of you got these in the GB, so any idea's or details of how you've got round this will be a massive help!!! (plus pics ;) )

Kinda important now cos i fixed my odometer at the same time, and i've just worked out that my addidas trainers are made of lead!!! my mpg at the mo is hanging around the 8 mark  whoops, but worth every penny ;)

????????????

cheers in advance

Brett

TBH i,m not sure , it looks the same as the ones in the back of the dials , they,ve probably used a spare one they had .HTH ;)

ok, done it !!!!

just gotta have the balls to run the fuel really low to see if it works ok

lol

oh, forgot to say.... sounds drastic, but removed the original black faces from the water temp and fuel dials. they were sticking slightly due to a thickness issue! (oops wrong tape  ), cut out the old fuel dial symbol to match the blank space, used a lil double-sided tape and hey presto, a proper fuel symbol in the space next to the yellow 'engine' light in the lower left side of the clock console.

( i know it's a negative version of the fuel symbol, and doesnt match the rest of the symbols for background in the same line, but hey, i thought i did a good job.)

just hope it works now, lol

I,ve not fitted mine yet but i think some of the bulbs or led,s actually illuminate the needles as i tried swapping my dash bulbs for blue led replacements and the needles lost there glow :headvswal i,m gonna suss out which ones they are and put clear bulbs and hopefully the needles will be nice bright red again :hyper:

Fitted Vijays Indiglow jobbies and have an issue with the the dial faces just touching the needles..they do go round but touch occaisonally.

Apart from that problem (which is of my own making) kit is the Bees knees.

Cheers Vijay and all who gave advice.

BTW I removed the low fuel light...now cmon guys ..Imagine yourself low on fuel and not bothering to go to the next Optomax joint because youve got no warning light...really...oh ! OK OK all right then whatever :D

Im just a chancer.....I can see my modding list now 600 bhp and low fuel warning light removed (to save weight)

How sleek is that ????

Just had a thought :-

Low Fuel warning light out put through a DC DC converter to a cattle prod attached to my ...errr.. body parts.. Now that would WORK

:D

:nono: :slap: :slap: :slap:

lol john, would turn a normal drive from 'electrifyin' to 'shockin'!!!! :D

update.......

the fuel light works!! it's even straight!!!!!!!
