iff its fuel related, ide go for a filter change. or could be the pump going tits up as it sounds like its not keeping up to the demands of the right foot

Any more information?

Is it a UK or Import?

Manual or Auto?

Does this happen when you slowly accelerate or go quick?

If you have not tried it accelerating slowly, give it a go.

Its it the speed causing it of is it the revs?

Try driving in 4th (Or 3rd if its an auto) and see what happens.

First idea is the PTU or timing. I have had the PTU do exactly the same thing with me. It worked but only below a certain speed. Timing which is out can also cause simalar symptoms.

You said that you regulary change the plugs. How often? And with which ones? Proper plugs will last 50,000 miles on these.

Mine had a very similer problem but only when it rained, water getting into the airfilter, if its happening in dry weather try taking your filter off and give it a run see if it does it , at least you can tell wether the fiter,s causing the problem, might be in need of cleaning or replacing . HTH ;)

thanks for the replies

it happens when under full load but only at 80

its a import auto that is de restricted

the plugs are the recomended ones

if you back off it will pull over 120+

only does it on full load
