Has anyone been to this speed dating thing? As sad as it sounds, it may work.

 

To cut a long story short, I've been single for what seems like eternity....some 5 years to be precise, had a lot of bad experiences with ex's cheating on me etc and just a rough time in general from women. They always complain about blokes treating them like 5hit, but it's by no means one sided. Had the odd bit of fun on the way, but just can't seem to meet anyone. :cry:

 

So, thinking about this speed dating thing. Sounds sad and corny, but at the end of my tether.

 

Would like someone special in my life before I get old. Scared shitless of being left on the shelf.

One of my mrs's mates goes to that sort of thing, she is a

real slapper though & usually ends up giving someone a BJ

in the car park!

But seriously though mate, if it makes you happy & you find

someone to be with, then do it. What have you got to lose?

Anyway I've never tried speed dating, internet dating etc but I believe it does work nowadays. (eeeh, you young whippersnappers!! :rolleyes: ). If not at least you get to meet lots of women at the same time - just take it all in a laid back manner, have a good laugh and see what happens.

 

Remember two things:

 

1. Women can sense desperation and find it a turn off

 

2. Women who are themselves desperate & just don't want to be left on the shelf, want babies & commitment just coz their mates have it and they don't, should be avoided and are a turn-off for us.

Yes yes, I remember the girls in the bus. But to be honest, I doubt they'd look if I was driving a Cavalier or something. Not interested in any that like me because of some turbo charged Japanise dog poo.

 

Still not tried the old speed dating thing. I'd not be like this if I could afford to move away...somewhere interesting where I could meet people.

 

Tables were turned when I lived in Worcester, some of the best times of my life up there.

Nothing turns a woman off more than a blokes who's been drinking.

 

A pleasant smile works wonders by the way.

 

Talk normal, and be interested in whatever shes says no matter how silly you might think she sounds. Don't do all the talking ask questions that require more than a single word answer

That kind of behaviour won’t get you closer to women.

If you act interested and talk about yourself only when they ask you, say you like various things about them (firstly possessions then features), talk about interesting subjects and work out what floats their boat you're always onto a winner :)

The best way to meet a nice woman is through another woman i.e. a friend! Trust is the biggest issue.

 

The chances of meeting someone nice and having a relationship through chat rooms/speed dating is about 0.1%. Its not worth the money!

 

The best places to find a woman, however is not clubs or pubs but gyms, supermarkets etc. Where they're not expecting to be chatted up!

 

In my opinion, stay single! lol. Life is so much better!

Gagh i never meet women through other friends, it becomes so contrived - what job has he got, car, blah blah.

 

Student days were simplier all you had then was £10 and your personality.

 

I much prefer meeting women from the net with a blank page. Chat on messenger for 2 weeks to a month then meet.
