Knock on effect of the lack of oil being produced in the Gulf of Mexico at the moment. It will settle down again once there up and running. Its gone up to a whopping 48p a littre here in Canada. Shocking :tongue:

I've not seen Optimax at more that 99.9p per litre yet. The average near me is about 93p for regular u/l and 98p for Optimax.

I've thought about moving house on to the flood plains of the River Avon as long as the nearest petrol station is one of the most expensive in the country!!!

i just got back from my local garage,( keep the small business's going) it's gone up to 99.9 there, i was crying till i got home and read this, now i see it aint as bad as some of you have got it!! :headvswal

unleaded and diesel are 94.9 by me at the mo bp higher octane is 1.01 per litre

I'm technically still in Britain and my petrol is 69p a litre :P (84p -15p with my checkers card)

Yup, its getting bloody silly now. Its usually a bit cheaper up ere, but it seemed to have popped up by 4p over night. 94.9p for regular u/l. Not sure what optimax is now as i didnt stop.

 

Think im gonna dust down the ol' mountain bike.

 

Oh, and if this is all part of the plan to get us to jump on buses, there was a bus strike in edinburgh not so long ago. The bus lanes were opened for cars. The traffic has never run so smoothly in years!

Just paid the above for Optimax at local station in Cambridge. Unfortunately Tesco isn't stocking RON 99 up here yet. Might have to start putting standard RON 95 in if this gets much worse. Needless to say, I'm not driving much at the moment, and when I do I'm driving very gently. How bad do you guys think this is going to get?

My local tesco was 92.9p this morning, and when i came back from the football in cardiff its not 95.9p per litre!!

its now only 1p per litre less than diesel, when it was 4p.

Paid 1.09 earlier for Optimax on the A20 near Eltham SE London...

99.9 for Esso Super Unleaded in Redruth.. Nearest Optimax garage is Truro 8 miles away.. Inconvienient!!! Still waiting for Tesco 99Ron to reach Cornwall!!

I'm really surprised they havent been started yet. There doesnt even seem to be any talk of it. I cant remeber petrol ever costing this much.

 

I heard on the news tonight that oil prices were falling but petrol prices are to keep rising!

 

The thing that really confuses me is that petrol costs a shit lot more here than anywhere else. So why the f*ck do they get away with it?
