Now, back on track please.............

If i was living in the UK, the journey to have a look would be worth the risk. Something about the ad makes me think it's genuine and as already said probably just a ptu.

Maybe we should start a fund and rescue Zeds as a forum? Must be someone near enough to have a look. Worth a grand for seats, stereo and wheels! Dave

Ive spoken to the guy and from what he says its more likely to be cambelt.

Did he give you any more info ??

400 mile round trip to see it, so want as much info as possible.

Would have thought if belt broke it would have stopped running, not lost power and cut out ?

Belt slipped perhaps ?? Maybe not.

Cheers for the reply mate,

Alan..........

this is what e said, sounds like the belt snapped, he pulled over and it would be fire up any more.

"I cant see it losing power from a motorway drive then stalling when stopped as It never did anything like that before, i'm beggining to suspect a hole melted in the top of a piston or somthing else to make it lose compression. but as no oil in the water or water in the oil then it cant be a cracked head or block.. got me puzzled"
