Went to the post office to buy new tax and realised the reg was wrong on my policy. I distinctly remember having trouble with the Indian girl who took the details.

I had an epic as Elephant lost the online quote that they'd given me, and in the mean time the quote for Zeds went up so they 'couldn't find the old one' (funny that). While they were talking to their IT people they put me through to an Indian call center who put a temporary extra car onto my existing escort policy for my Zed. A few weeks later when they decided they wouldn't honour the old quote I took out a full policy with their new quote (still lower than anything else I could get so no choice really). The details were taken over from the old temp policy.

When I just phoned them I had a nightmare trying to get it changed with out getting charged even though it was their fault. It turned out they had no notes whatsoever of all the trouble that I had had earlier, and no names for all the muppets that had dealt with me (some English, some Indian). Very, very poor admin. How can you expect to provide customer service if there is no accountability amongst the employees.

The Indian girl was blatently reading off of a piece of paper the questions. Even after 3/4 of an hour (no exageration) trying to explain what I needed as the other people hadn't told her, she was still reading out 'so you want to insure your new car....blah,blah' .NO I WANT TEMPORARY COVER FOR 1 MONTH WHILE YOU FIND MY QUOTE! 'So you would like 12mths cover starting from when Mr Monaghan' aaarrrrgghghg!! Makes me f**king mad. And then the reg number is still wrong. Dave

Gotta make you think twice about cheap policies... imagine the trouble if you had to claim!! Not havin a pop or anything, cos I'd have a nightmare too I guess!! Just makes ya think!

Third party mate, wouldn't claim unless I really had too on full comp anyhow as would cost the value of the car in premiums! So got it purely cause its cheap (compared to my other quotes at any rate).

Makes me mad how so many companies are using foreign call centres nowadays. I used to have a '3' phone when they first came out and had problem after problem, always having to talk to someone I couldnt understand in India! Think '3' lost most off its original customers so goes to show the cheapest was isn't always the best way.
