Bubbling Left Intercooler...I think..

Anybody know why my left (N/S) intercooler is bubbling? It happened today after driving home from work (un-thrashed) and lasted about 5 minutes. I think its the intercooler as it was coming from the front passenger side but cant be sure as its my first Z'd and only had it a week.

Any help appreciated.

more likely to be hot water in your rad overflow bottle, mine dumped about a cup full after i parked up, very hot here

Another possibility is the egr valves which are located inside your wings. They fill up with water, and sound like a coffee perculator! They can be removed and drained, but i understand it isnt a concern, and will happily go 'for ever'.

must have been the radiator overflow tank that sits behind the IC.

Keep a close eye on the coolant level in the radiator !

those are the AIV's ...the EGR sits behind the engine.

I stand corrected!! ;)

almost deffo the AIVs - easy job - front nearside wheel off, pull back a bit of wheel arch, undo a pipe and pour the lovely yellow crap onto the driveway. re-attach and job done. until a few days later when it happens again

Wow! thanks guys, i'm impressed. Nothing to worry about then.
