I have been visiting the forum over the last month or so to get an idea of running costs and potential problems that 300 owners experience. The problem as far as I can see is that a lot of you guys seem to be spending a lot of cash keeping your cars on the road. I am getting the impression that these cars are not really very reliable and when they do go wrong you need to sell an organ to pay the bill. Is this a fair assesment? Are there any owners out there who have had no problems and only had to pay for routine servicing?

I love the way the Z looks and I love the idea of a 280 BHP TT V6 but I don't really want to buy a car that turns into a millstone round my neck. :(

Yea my wife to be is very friendly!! :p thats why i moved up hear, St-andrews and Dundee are a awsome night out! im loving it so far!

You just need to look around a bit and find a decent one. I've had mine for 6 months now, done 4000 miles in it (which is slightly more than I wanted to do), and had no problems so far. I was at a party speaking to a friend of a friend about the car, which he was admiring as it was parked outside. He's a mechanic, used to work for Nissan, and worked on a few zeds. Even had to do a full engine rebuild on one with 180k on the clock. His impression was that they're very reliable if you're not into performance modding, and since this is where a lot of the problems arise, if you're intending to go down this route you need to be prepared (and have the cash) to fix the problems as they arise.

leave my posts alone as this must be pissing other users off

It is. I'm not one of the established members here, so I ask that those of you who are would forgive me if I'm speaking out of turn.

You guys (Brett, Paul) need to deal with this in court, and not on this forum. Even if you're not going down the legal route you need to deal with this in private. Not to mention the fact that this kind of carrying on could potentially prejudice your case against eachother. Please stop.

Can you both keep you personal problems with each other off the forum please, this thread is now closed!
