There isn't anyone on this forum that hasn't made a pratt of themself at some time, myself included. We have had claims of cars that do 205mph to Evo spec zeds that I for one have never heard of as well as everything in between. :o

 

It seems to me that certain members of this forum get jumped on every time they post a thread just for the sake of other peoples amusement. This is nothing more than school yard bullying and its time to rap it up. :wack:

 

I joined this club for the cars as well as the friendly banter & help offered on this site. It really pisses me off when people who havent been on this forum for more than five minutes give it large at the expense of another new member. This sort or sh1t is dragging this forum down & anyone who is looking to join will no doubt think twice about it when they see how bitchy we are to new members. THIS IS EMBARRASSING

 

Maybe some of the people on here deserve to get a ribbing every now & then. I myself will no doubt get a bit of negative feedback regarding this thread. But just remember why we are here & what brings us all together. If you actually got chance to meet the people you are ripping to bits, you may find they are allright.

 

If the people who seem to have been singled out in my description of silly comments are offended,then I appologise. This was just an example of the kind of thing that is being jumped on when made by others.

 

Surely we are man enough to stand up n be honest with ourselfs & say enough is enough.

I was warned about this site before I signed up that it was basically a "clique" . Yep, a lot of you guys know each other and have a go now and then.

But I do find it's a great freindly and informative site, replies are given to help and advice with humour sometimes which is harmless. But again it's the going off topic too much ( yes i do it aswell) which is the bad thing.

 

I joined a couple of Irish car forums and found the very same thing. But on a positive note I see a lot of new members on here complimenting the site a lot. That can't be bad.

I totally agree, Whatever happens on here we're all mates even though most of us have never met each other in person and we all Love our 300ZX... Each and everyone of us would help a fellow ZX owner if ever in the SH1T!!

Just my personal opinion being a fairly new member: The help and goodwill I have had from people who hardly even know me is phenomenol, its great to see such trust in people in these times. I was only here for a few weeks and people were sending me bits for the car because it was in the garage and I hadn't recieved bits in time or at all. People have made me up DVD's, and the original owner of the car (not the guy I bought it off) has often been in touch to help or advise me about aspects of the car I may not know about. Everyone at the meet was very friendly and hopefully will become long term friends.

I find it disturbing watching new people getting fragged, however I don't think immature attitudes should be tolerated as they generally lead to bad things, hard lessons, or worse someones death. When the IndianZX thing was happening I had a look on the GTR board and they are a lot less tolerant of anything chavish,boyracer, or generally immature and it gives the board a better atmosphere IMO. I enjoy the humour and general chit chat on the board, and I'm probably responsible for many off-thread bullsh*t comments (including in my own threads!) but I like to know about other members interests apart from just Zeds. That said I would like to make an effort to stay on topic!

Although the forum is clicky, its mostly only because of the friendliness of its members to each other and new people join in soon enough. You don't get this personal side on many other forums.

I suppose I would like to see more of the technical side of things, however this really depends on how many people are doing these things on their cars. The 200's are cheap so people are more likely to do stuff where as the GTR people usually have more money so also do lots of stuff. The 300 lies somewhere in the middle I guess. Also the 300 doesn't do so well with age in respect to electrics and stuff under the engine bay from heat so I think some people get put off messing with it. Dave

Never said he didn't deserve the shit he got in that thread Chris as I said in my original post some people get what they deserve. What I said was why jump on the guy every time he puts a normal thread up in the (Was it you) part of the forum.

 

I agree with you all the way that chavs will come n go as they are the scum suckin mofo's that I pay my 40% tax for. As you pointed out earlier thats life.

You expected some negative feedback on this thread as you said. so when you get it why is it such a big issue. everyone is entitled to an opinion. Further more. You mentioned the point of bringing something worth while to the forum. Do you really think people will see the kind of threads that have been started by indian as the kind of thing they would want from a forum? So it works both ways. I must say that a few comments have been a shade heavy but the man is still here and still posting so he hasnt been pushed away?

I also agree that we are all mates in a cyber kind of way and I have no bad feelings towards anyone.

 

So in the words of a very wise man lets kerb it a bit and show other forums that we dont only have the best cars but the best crowd aswell

Not meaning to sound an arse...but really, aren't people getting a little bit too worked up over all this? I personally have not seen anything nasty said on the board, just tongue 'n' cheek stuff. Fair enough, there is a point were maybe it should stop, but it's nothing really that bad.
