I think that the manual says 1-3 degrees for the front wheels.

If you get a laser alignment setup will it be best to ask them to go for 1 degree if you want to reduce the wear on the inside of your front tyres.

Do you agree?

Sorry don't know, you could ask their advice.

If you're getting wear on the inside wheel it could mean that your wheels weren't balanced or weren't balanced properly.

Get them all properly balanced and the unever wear should be gone.

I imagine paul means wear on the inner edge of each front wheel, which is usually caused (on Z's) by too much -ve camber, either because the car is lowered, or because the stock springs have sagged over time..

FYI there is no camber adjustment available on the front, so whatever it's at, is what you're stuck with..

If you are lowered, you have the option of camber correction kits from 300degree (set for 0.8" drop Eibachs), Stillen (adjustable) or a few other manufacturers.

The rear has a small amount of adjustment via a sort of cam arrangement, but not much, and a lot of tyre places wont be able to figure out how it works anyway!

BTW - the 300degree camber kit is basically a shim set and longer bolts for the upper A arm on the front. You can change the camber a small amount from what their kit does by adding/removing shims - but their bolts are only so long remember..

If you've got stock springs - new stock springs should put your camber back to stock specs...

Well thats nice to know aaron wink.gif.Does anyone have a picture of the rear ajuster?

Cheers aaron that conirms my idea. i never have problems with the rear tyre wear so that must be ok, but you could see the front wheels leaning in quite a bit. I have had another little project on the go at work wink.gif and I now have adjustable camber thats why I want to get a full alignment done.

I will put a couple of pics up when i get chance.

BTW Paul - are your adjustable top links sliding plate types or turnbuckle types??? I want the turnbuckle type for mine cos according to our american counterparts the sliding plate types slide out of adjustment over time....

Sell these please...I get well uneven wear on front passenger side.....must been cheaper than full set springs!!!!

Regardz

My tyres used to wear unevenly until I took it to a place that understood how the suspension worked and set the tracking ACCURATELY, after two allleged 'experts' had told me it was within spec and there was no adjustment.

The place that did it right, oh yes, it was um, SE or course !
