You dont need any software bud, built in to the car.

Fairly simple process (look at TTnet for info)

You will basically get a series of flashes from an LED on the ECU which relate to malfunction codes.

If it s the Knock sensor. (usually is) Then its engine out to change the little basta*d i'm affraid. You can overide the sensor by linking out the control wires with a 1M resistor. This should only be done as a check though. Mind you mine been like that for months now, going to change mine when my engine comes out this winter.

May not even be that, have a look first

:ttiwwop: ok been through all of that process and commoing back with code 55 no malfunction i now wonder if it could be a boost leak as i have noticed a very slight split in one of the silicone hoses

sounds like it could be mate. which hose is split ?

do u get a shwush noise when your driving in boost, when accellerating hard ?

ok for some reason i cant get a pic on here but i will describe as bset i can

looking from the front you have four large diameter hoses in pairs (ok i know your not a bunch of idiots but im starting to get stressed) of these pairs it is the left hand side inner hose at the top where it joins onto the plenum (i think) hope that makes sense and hope to god its not gonig to cost a fortune to fix

yeah i did get that sort of noise but then it stopped and thats when i lost half my boost pressure so i think i need to change that hose so if anyone has one i would like to know about it

i think i have but my next problem is locating a person with a hose to sell and how much they want for it

Chances are they all could do with replacing mate. The ends perish and fall apart. Smithy does the shiny ones that everyone has. One of the traders probably has some oem ones from a breaker. Dave

that is it mate. i got some second hand pipes here but its a bit far to come im afraid lol

by the way that is the main turbo boost pipe if you were wondering ?

  • Author

pj how much do you want for those pipes if there in good condition and do you have pay pal

bud i have 3 of them with no splits, dont have the far right one as i had to cut that off because it wdnt budge lol

your welcome to come down and take em
