Then he turned of onto a small dead end cos I think he had enough, looked slightly tuned with an exhaust, can't understand what all the fuss is about Poopras :D

Because it's only 220BHP :p I'm sure if you upped the power to 280 BHP then they'd be closer ;)

Simply a matter of aerodynamics over power.

 

Bigger BHP doesn't always mean better acceleration (that's more down to torque) but it will give a much higher top speed in the same car. Both N/A and TT are aerodynamically similar (although owing to the deeper front spoiler the TT is slightly less slippery). They would both hit the "wall" of air at similar speeds which holds the car back but the TT has nearly 60bhp (stock) over the N/A which gives it more push against that "wall of air"

 

I have read that an N/A should reach 148 in stock form.....

 

....but I don't know about the differences in gear and final drive ratios of each car.

A 200SX will do 140mph with 169bhp - you'd think a 220bhp NA 300 would do plenty more.

My mk2 8V Golf GTi done 130 max, well chuffed at the time.

me and the missus had a similar thing happen, but i was just driving along at 50-60 and one pulled up to my window and dumped of his bovs, so i droped into third (he must have to) and under took him and pulled away in every gear, got stopper at some trafic lights and done the same again, i slowed down and he pulled along side and gave me the thumbs up. nice that.
