Probably been answered before but my idle seems to sit too high sometimes around 1500 then drops but for some reason will just rise again.

Would disconnecting the idle valve (yellow connector) be ok to do?

I'll do this when the car is warm and see how it feels for a day if it doesn't rise would this mean i need to take it out and give it a good clean or at worst replace it?

Cheers

check ecu for error code, it may be your temp sensor

if you unplug the idle valve I believe you will end up flooding the engine
