Lovely way to start the new year.

Well i have well and truly knakered my exhaust, managed to get the backbox to explode from the inside and put itself all over the outside (makes no sence but completly shagged)

So now my search is on for a new exhaust.

Any ideas as to whats nice, who has tried the blitz exhaust on this forum.

Oh Warren - are you opening yourself up for grief having exhaust problems !

Seriously though, sorry to hear that. I know what a complete pain it is for something like this to go.

I was extremely happy with my Mongoose when I had that although it's fairly 'understated'. But for the money I thought the build quality was excellent and the mechanic said it was a perfect fit.

Also, SE do a nice one ...

Couldn't resist !

Dave

Warren give Johnny a call for a Mongoose SSteal and O so cheap wink.gif.The sound on full boost ROCKS biggrin.gif,Like Hairsy said nothing comes close for value for money than a mongoose,SE do a nice one too smile.gif.

That's what you get when you only have one outlet biggrin.gifall them gases cant get out fast enough when it was designed for 4 so BOOM! biggrin.gif

Yup, my Mongoose came from Johnny and it's a winner, even with no cats it's not too noisy.

Hi Guy's

How much is the mongoose system.

Cheers Dave.

Hmmm mongoose = peashooters biggrin.gif no thanks. Its a nice exhaust but not for me, i think they look like stock.

From the cats back less than £500 smile.gif.But only from Johnny tel 01942671239.

Exactly !

And Dave, they cost about £530, but Johnny can usually knock a chunk off that.

You lot are the peashooter express biggrin.gif

What size is the mongoose pipes?

Get one custom made...It will probably be cheaper than these off the shelf, compromised efforts.

4x2""=8" 8inches does that turn you on girlie biggrin.gif?

Sorry Wazza I just measured it,from the inside lip it is 2,1/2" So that makes 10"

What happened Warren?, I have been looking for an aftermarket exhaust for a while now and have been told that B&B triflows produce more power than any other exhaust for the Z, but they are very very loud.

What about the carbon fiber and titanium HKS one? that looks absolutely fantastic!.

Please let me know what one you decide to go with as I'm still confused as hell about which one to go for.

Cheers,

Brian

the titanium one is very very pricey to the tune of about $1800 i think although it is lovely

i am goign to go for that one i posted pic.

ian 2x4.5 " = 9 biggrin.gif so wah

Mac it's really about cross sectional area though isn't it.

Mongoose: 2" x pi x 4 tail pipes = approx 25 sq inches.

Single fat pipe: 6" x pi = approx 19 sq inches

Two fat pipes: 4.5" x pi x 2 pipes = approx 28 sq inches

More cross sectional area equals more potential flow. Smaller tail pipes usually equals less noise, therefore lots of small tail pipes equals more flow, less noise and therefore less hassle from the rozzers.

the HKS one looks like crap on the car, the pipes are pointing sidewards.

If you're looking for an exhaust with big tips, go for the Greddy SP

or you could always buy a real exhaust: the B&B Triflo wink.gif

he he he eric eric eric. But your bed and breakfast is so loud at idle smile.gif

nah i think ill stick with super dragger lol

Take a look at my Apexi ones in Rides. Not sure who did it but serious diameter piping all fabricated and 5" tips. It was made all the way from the manifolds but apparently was way too loud and the cat sections were put back in again for some silencing. Prolly wasted on mine unless I fit the chip but it does sound nice!

Willie

very very nice willio, i see they seell those backboxes universal then you make the rest up from what i gather.

I have a Blitz Realize TT...cat back..sounds good looks the dogs!!!...£900 ish though..speak to Johnny its top exhaust!!! by far

Regardz

So Warren how much is a super dragger? eek.gif.

------------------

blitz.jpg

A super dragger is about £600 but i always said if i have to replace it i will do a twin exhaust outlet.

Money is not an issue if i have to get the right exhaust. Ahtough blitz realize i can get for about £500 squid

Wazza mate you know the GReddy's on my car are the vackers knackers:
