Got some Roxie Heart HIDs but again - no instructions.

Wheres a good place to mount the ballast? box?

Does the neg wire goto the neg wire from the feed to the light as its a spade connector - not a bullet connector.

The plug that goes into the ballast box - which way does it plug in as there is a plastic nib on the top AND the bottom so it can go either way.?? and I REALLY dont want to pop lights :)

Hi Jay,

I have the same kit.

If you have an aftermarket air filter fit the ballast packs under the nose-cone like I did. Stick them to the brackets with the stick-pads then use self tapping screws to fix the brackets to the metal edges where the old air-box sat.

If you have the stock air-box then use the sticky pads to fix them to the under-side of the headlights. gain access by removing the indicators.

As for the wiring, disconnect the plug and remove the whole section of wire that goes through the plastic dust-shield and finally to the back of the lights (it's all one section - the wires and cover are joined together). Then simply fit the spade connectors from the ballast packs directly into the plugs left in the loom, cover this in insulating tape for security and to guard against dust/water.

Fit the HID bulbs into the holders in place of old ones. Take the wiring previously removed (with the rubber cover), cut it out of the cover then use the cover again. Pass the new bulb wires through the hole in cover and fit the cover over the back of the headlamp as normal.

Make sure the HID bulb wires reach the ballast packs with some slack - you don't want them stretched.

Whole thing should take little more than 1/2 hour maybe an hour max.

Connect the HID bulb wires to the ballast packs and switch on - hey presto you can see at night!!.

Hope this helps,

Cheers matey, Im worried about sticking them though - in case they fall off - do they hang or do you mean lay flat - I have an aftermarket air filter, so no airbox - it was already removed for me.

One of the plugs in the loom is a spade connector, the live one.

The other is a bullet type connector - did you just cut that off and join the Neg wire to it?

One last thing - the plug that fits into the ballast box - which way round does it go as there is a locating clip on the top side AND the bottom side.

Cheers

Any pics of mounting location and plug into ballast box would be helpful :)

The only thing I haven't really figured out is how to keep those HID on when you use your high beam for flashing! But yeah the neg just ground it to any part of the chassis really have to wire it up to the neg wire.

Hi Jay,

I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

As for the bullet connector, you got me stumped there??

There should be a big plastic cluster-type plug. Just disconnect it and you get the whole section of wire for the dipped beam which is fixed through the rubber dust cap that fixes over the back of the headlamp for total removal.

I'll PM you my number. Give me a call tomorrow and I'll try and help.

The kit is simply plug and play - no wire cutting or splicing required if you do it the simple way! ;)
