Hello people, this'll be my third 300 but the others have been a 300zx twin, a non turbo auto and now i'm on a non turbo manual and havin lots of problems. First off i got a misfire on the left bank and i think its the ptu, any other ideas? Its defo not the head though. All the coil packs are firing had em al out - its cylinder one if that helps.

Next my heater matrix has done the ole favourite and blown itself to bits, anyone got one?

Also does anyone else have problems with selection in the manuals or excessive clutch fluid use? Mine is chewing through the clutch fluid at the rate of a cylinder a week. Box has lots of selection probs too.

If anyone has any advice on any of these matters i'd really appreciate it.

Happy motoring and long live the fairlady.

Thanks for the advice mate, I've checked all the connections one by one and it still isn't firing on cylinder one. The Coil pack is sparking across the plug when removed but i've been told that this will happen even if the ptu is knackered because it isn't running under load out of the cylinder. Is this rubbish? I even bought a new coil pack and it didn't make any difference whatsoever. Would conzult pick up this fault? Great news on the master cylinder, any ideas where to look for leakage?

Where abouts in winsford are you? I used to work there so i know the big roundabout where the pubs are but thats about it!! Give me a call or a text 07732057628 if you can. Thanks again mate.

i had a missfire on one cylinder & it was an injector connection green/corroded, hth.

Is there any way we could meet at some point cos this car is gettin to the point where i'm seriously considering gettin rid of it. Things are packing up all over the place and i'd rather take some advise before i act.

Thanx

best thing to do is try awell known working PTU off a member here its a 2min job to swap over and see if it that cures it,failing that pull each connector and to the side of that you have all the injector connectors carefully remove them, try to not loose the metal clips that come with them, with a wire brush and some contact cleaner or wheel cleaner spray on and leave for a few secs then use wire brush until contacts are clean! that should cure it,do a consult to make sure no probs with car in general
