2) my aftermarket boost gauge is measures in cmr and it boosts at 0.3-0.4 dpending on how it feels. is this normal because after my new cambelt and new battery it feels slower.

 

3. could my cars ecu be mapped for higher octane petrol?

If it's a Jap import then it'll more than likely be mapped for 100ron unless you've got a JWT chip in there or similar.. BP ultimate is 97ron and Optimax is supposedly rated at 98ron.

...also, get the timing checked by the garage who fitted the belt....actually no, take it to Baggins and get him to check it!

he knows the z inside out he can check to see if the belt was fitted correctly as most non z garages dont have the first idea how to service these cars...ryans a specialist

 

if your timing is out your power will be down best to get someone who knows what he is doing to check it

IIRC he's been recommended to you before when you were originally got your cambelt done, but you decided to get elsewhere.

he also does a conzult check free of charge sounds a top bloke to me

I was running a mines ecu in mine, 1mm boost jets.

Always used optimax, never had any probs.
