I am going to get a boost controller very soon and I'm also considering an ALC.

 

1 Is it worthwhile getting an ALC?

 

2 Does this increase the wear and tear on the autobox?

Very good mod, increases the line pressure to the box providing better gear changes :)

1. Yes - v worthwhile, will shave tenths off a quarter mile time. I was well impressed with mine.

2. Yes of course, in the same way that upping the boost increases wear and tear on the engine ;) Fit a decent oil cooler first :)

I thought an oil cooler might be worth upgrading if I got an ALC.

i can vouch for them too - ALC2 is better if you can get it. apparently doesnt cause any extra undue wear and tear to box

Deffo cooler, believe me, it took me 3 gearboxs to sort that one out!

One of the best mods for an auto IMHO!!

I've sourced a HKS ALC so now I need to find an oil cooler. Anyone got one they want to pass on! Are they easy to fit?
