Just opened my back door and there was a huge buzzard sitting on the garden table about three foot away. Awesome birds, going to have to get myself a pet shitehawk (def :- any large bird with big sharp beak and claws).

I think we should organise a 300ZX tri-country pie eating contest. England vs Wales vs Scotland.

We already have our pie eating heros from England (Chunk) and Wales (PK1). Who wants to nomiate a Scotland member?

best starter raptor is the Harris Hawk...however you do need access to open spaces and live prey (rabbits etc)....not much compares to hunting with such awsome creatures..you can do hunting days with a borrowed hawk...an unique gift or present

Have you got one? The missus took me to a falconary center at an airfield in Dorset last year for my birthday. They do courses there as well and I was going to take the course, as I was thinking about getting one. In the end I got posted to Plymouth though. I'd still like to do it when I finish at the end of this year. Chances are we'd at least have access to lots of space as we've got a horse. I'd like to do falconery on horseback, best I learn to ride! Dave

i'd like a bird. roasted, with some veggies and some roasties, gravy, yorkie pud, parsnips, swede. oh and a cow, half a sheep, another cow, followed by another sheep... oh and some apple pie ;)

I like to roast a bird but it puts me off to see some other bloke's schlong.

nowt to do with raptors, but there is a huge owl that hangs about the rooftops in my area

been trying to get a pic of it for years, but aint managed yet

also had to phone the rspca once as one of the pickeys seen it and then try to catch by throwing stones at it the :xxx:

oh and i like pies aswell

then went to Bali on post deployment leave and managed to get a huge bomb go off down the road!

No way. I was in Kuta the week before the bomb went off. Spent a month on the island often Drinking in Paddies bar. Ive got very fond memories of the place. The Balanise people are probably some of the nicest in the world. They never deserved the bombings. I havent been back since but some of my friend our there now staying at Padang. Aparently it's getting back on it feet.

Bloddy hell, I probably walked by you! I was there for a week and a half before and 2 weeks after the bomb, in Paddies and Sari club nearly every night till they got levelled! Only coincidence that I didn't go that night, decided I'd had enough of the local 'Arak' rice vodka special thing. Went down towards Bingin and Dreamland for the better waves. I really want to go back, my mate has an apartment out there now, said we could stay anytime. Dave

So how many Araks in the tuppaware beakers did you manage? think I drank 12 one night. Dont remember the rest. There is a new paddies now further down near poppies one I think. I'm hopefully going to Australia for a period next year so hoping to pop across to Bali for a week.

12!!!! mate people die from drinking that many! For anyone who doesnt know, you buy the drink,Arak, in big plastic bottles like the sunny delight ones. It just says 'DRINK' on the side LOL! I had hardly drunk for six months due to being in N.Ireland so was plastered after only a couple. The stuff is seriously potent and very unregulated, people get very ill on it. I reckon they imported what ever the red army was drinking at the end of WW2! Dave

I think i nearly did :p it was my first night there, pretty sure it was twelve, maybe I was seeing double after the first one and only had 6 lol. Never again. :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer: :duffer:

This week, I have been mostly eating ... TARAMASALATA

and small children

Classic Dave!! You sure are a crack Addict!

That just what I was thinking.

Pk didn't stop eating at the Ross meet, he got out of his car when he arrived with crumbs around his mouth, immediately ordered food, kept eating all afternoon and took a doggy bag with him at the end. Even while toying/racing with an M3 on the way back he had a leg of lamb that he was chewing on. He was shaking when I saw him just after because the M3 had made him drop his food!! In fact someone I met later said he was only racing the M3 because he thought they had food in the glove box!!!

as we've got a horse. I'd like to do falconery on horseback, best I learn to ride! Dave
