from 70mph, to what speed ?

Reckon the bike will pull some initial length, and the Greddy beast will real it in and say goodbye :)

off the clock

Yeah, the big turbo'd beasty! Did you see the vid with the dodge viper racing the Hyabusi? Wouldn't have thought it before but it looked all real. Dave

used to have FZR1000, very fast machine. took it off the clock once and only ONCE, down the coast road. I wouldn't like to call this one. I would like to think the beast, but the fzr is VERY quick, and the EXUP valve makes it faster. Very interested to see the results ;)

Well after driving Macca's Z the other day, id say it would be.........

inicially the bike, upto about 100mph, then the power of the Z will go by it in a fairly quick way!

Now you ruined it PMSL

On a serious note Chunk raced fast bikes for years so he does know what he is on about

I know they were king of the hill for a few years when they came out.

Im on the yellow one!!

The car ill bet on.

the FZR is a dated bike now, and was not mind blowingly quick, but the jump the car has, is if they are both in top gear, then at 70mph, its to high a gear for a quick acceleration, so when the bike opens it, it will take a while to get up to speed.

My moneys on the car

Ehhhhhhhhh LOL The bike may be a little dated now but in a straight line it wont be a kick in the arse away from a blade and when the EXUP was introduced it was king of the hill for years,The bike pulls hard at 70mph ask Chunk the way it came past him when he was driving the Subaru.

PMSL, a fookin fizzy would blast by that!!

The bike will pull hard, but not in top mate...

and i would put my pink slip on the blade pissing all over it on any trial mate, and by a lot too

I would say upto 120ish the bike would leave the car but you would reel him in quickly.

If it was say an R1 or similar then the bike would leave the car and i think you would struggle to catch it, but it depends on how long a stretch of road, if its say your own private motorway then i recon you would catch even an R1 or similar after a few miles

Mike you have no idea just how quick this skyline basher is LOL  :nana2:

An early Blade makes about 108 bhp at the rear wheel.

An EXUP (with the carb rubber restrictors removed) makes about 129.

The EXUP will do a standing quarter in 10.8, the Blade would be more like 10.9.

The EXUP is heavier - 208kg rather than 185 though.

As for car vs bike, I wouldn't do it in top gear - the bike needs to be in second really - it'll have some shove then but a 500+bhp car may still beat it quite impressively.

I can imagine mate, please remember i have had 6-700 ponies fighting the rear wheels on my old supra which was mental :)

I would word the "skyline basher" as theres lots of larks around which would eat you for breakfast bud ;)

On a different note, whens it next in for the remap to run more boost?

"living the dream, living the dream" as that funny fella at JAE kept saying (before drinking all your J-D)

Anyway the reality is more "making the tea, making the tea - and panicking behind a desk"

There is I seen some serious ones at TOTB But my point is that a lot of people that buy Skylines think they are the fastest out there and that they twiddle a screw and up the boost and all of a sudden they have over 500 horses. The next few weeks should see some nice boost once the twin pumps are fitted and the maps are tweaked.
