170mph on the clock, the guy on the R1 bottled it at about 150 but i kept it pinned, as previous post it was still pulling though, i ran out of road.

Iv'e mashed the odd scooby :xxx: , my favourite pass time, too, cant even say they keep up through the gear's coz they don't, an top speed, i lit a fag at 150 while scooby miester was hanging on for grim death to his steering wheel about 300 yards behind, or was that 300 light years i cant remember.

Dont tend to drive at excessive speeds, but Toyed with a Focus RS on the way home from Ross-on-wye meet.

 

He would'nt move over, and kept his foot to the floor.......he had to move over for me when he hit his is Speed limiter(or Reached his top speed) though :x:

 

(naturally this was on my own private racetrack, and do not condone excessive speeding in anyway on public roads)

Tell me about it, i really thought i was in for a transing but i think the turbulance behind the car at that speed freaked him out an he backed off. Either that or he thought i was a nutter!!! :tongue:

Never used a GPS myself so don't know. But dont they do altitude? or is it just flat mapping? Excuse me getting off subject and talking boll*X but was just curious as I've stubbornly refused to touch gps's as I like my map reading in the mountains.

 

 

The GPS system used by sat navs triangulates your position and updates every 0.5 secs? it then calculates how long it took from one point to the next and gives you the speed. as for going up and down hills? I should imagine that it wouldnt make a lot of difference on a slight gradiant?

Never got it past 130, only because I have no motorways or good roads around me, but the feeling from the engine telling me it will do a lot more if it had the space keeps me happy. :)

iv had about 90 and the car over heated

Ive had 168mph showing on speedo, and again.. of course on my private bit of road...

I hit 152 mph on the GPS before losing my bottle when I remembered I had Jap spec tyres still on the car! :smash:
