I tried getting some vinal that matches the interior and filling the gaps with it, looks really crap. I could try a nissan blanking plate, but I bet that'll look naff too if I cut it.

i have a friend who makes allsorts of metal parts for cars etc from bolts to gearbox gates for exotic cars and he knows the company that makes all the facias for classic cars eg MG.

I moved my traction buttons from the same area as they did look very naff there.
