Some ideas of what to do with electro luminescent board

Have a look at this:

meter_light_4.jpg

The pieces are made from bits of EL board with the markings stuck on the front. You should be able to to the same with the larger dials.

They have also cut holes in the plastic side kick plates and stuck some EL board behind those:

The power is taken from the interior lights.

Anyone know where and how much you can pick this stuff up for?

This is how one guy did the rear light finisher using EL board(This stuff looks cool biggrin.gif ) http://zetton.power.ne.jp/lady/photo/finisher_light/index.html (My Zed came with the lighted rear panel but I think it uses bulbs).

Had the kick plates on my FTO, the E.L panels are about £20 and the inverter PSU is about another £20, you can get these all from RS Components as I had to repair my old ones.

The rear 300ZX logo should be a piece of piss to do, you don't even need a relay as the current drain from the inverter is so small.

I'll have a look at prices when I get back to work on Wed

Well done that man!

Electro luminescent sheet, 60x50mm, blue green = £4.62 or £18.19 for 130x120mm at RS Electronic

with Babelfish - well funny, you get great descriptions like this.

lol yeah, can u get the stuff in other colours like blue or red? Blue would be super cool

Take your pick:

Not sure how they look when they are lit up though, I may look into buying one of each of the small bits(£4.62 each) and test it out. The dark blue with white markings would look good.
