not sure about the skyline wheels bud but whats wrong with your ones? if you are selling how much do you want for them?

they are on the car at the mo... look at the thread about mat black paint... its on there... the wheels fit ok... im just not to keen on them!

It's not so much the size of the wheels but whether they will clear the brake calipers on a Z. However do you need to go to 19's? If you have 18's they will cost you less and when tyres are sized for them they have the same rolling diameter as 19's with tyres!

there is a set of B E A UUUU T I F U LL 19 wheels that iv seen, they are for a skyline, so i need to know if they will fit.... has anyone got 19 on there's or seen one with them?

Got 19's on mine bud with no problem. Dont know about Skyline wheels though. As said, its more about brake clearance.

Mine is lowered slightly and has 18's so I would assume that 19's would fit no problem under the arches as the rolling diameter will be the same as mine, you would just have lower profile tyres to achieve this. The only problem you then need to overcome is the brake caliper clearance inside the wheel.

probably beeing daft hear... but if i have bigger wheels surely it will mean i have more clearence? so brakes wont be a problem?

one of the guys on here has skyline wheels on his zed, eacyboy is his username

hasnt chris@getgreddy got skylark wheels?

I don't think it is so much the radial clearance but the distance the calipers stick out horizintally.

Unless the spokes of yer new wheels go in a fair bit, can't see any problems mate.

Often offsets are stamped on the inside rim of the wheel, so 1st check yours both front and rear what they are and we can then tell if they are incorrect or not.

Ask the seller of the skyline wheels what offset they are because yes they maybe on his skyline, but it doesn't mean he's kept within 7mm of the standard skyline offset, once you know the new wheels offset, we can see if they fit for you.

cheers

these are brand new wheels... it says that they are the correct off-set for a skyline.... just need to know if skylines have the same off-set as our's, the wheels on my car at the mo aren't mine.... long story, but if people like the look of them he may sell them... he had my car for 6 months then totaled my ones and didn't pay the remaioning he owed me....... so i now have the car back plus 3K to spend on it!

Offset sizes of the Zed are, 5x114.3 P.C.D - +35 Offset Front and +42 Rear

Skyline

R32 - 16x8JJ - 114.3 P.C.D - +30 Offset - 225/50R16

R33 - 17x9JJ - 114.3 P.C.D - +30 Offset - 245/45ZR17

R34 - 18x9JJ - 114.3 P.C.D - +30 Offset - 245/40ZR18

Generally you can go in either direction by 7mm

This may help you too, just type in measurements you want/have etc.

how wide are ur's at the rear? these are 9.5" rear and 8.5" front

so they wont fit the rear  ? oh well back to the drawing board!

Did you use the calculator i posted above mate ?

With you going wider it makes a difference.

I just typed in your new sizes and the differences is only 1mm (assuming 8.5 was already on the rear.)

ive got 19s going on mine and they clear the callipers more than before, but each wheel is different you really need to check the offset or try one on your car,to be sure

but the wheels sticks out 25mm more...will it catch on the arch?

cheers for that link smithy.. i owe you one :)

they are nice wheels but i think you will have fitment problems, they will go on OK but will stick out a little too far, going for a bigger offset is OK as you can space it out but if its smaller then your knackered.

The other solution is sod it and go wide arch then you will be fine :)
