Granted, I hate christmas, but today has been excellent. Best in many a year. FINALLY, I now have a Zed sat on the driveway.

The drive back was utterly hideous though. Not only was the traffic a total mare, but the situation was made worse by appaling weather.

I was brought quickly back down to earth today...or maybe it was just a general lesson about how to drive a Zed. Came out of a roundabout near Heathrow (no, not following IndianZX), dual carriage way, sat beind some old gimmer in a Fiesta, just lightly dabbed the accelerator, back went straight out. As quickly as I had dabbed the pedal, I released it again and corrected the steering. It snapped back into a straight line, but was almost a brown trouser moment as the road really was wet. Now it wasn't me being silly, more of an error of judgment. But overall, a good lesson to learn, was nothing major, just a scene with what 'could' happen.

Just shows their power....and general non traction abilities in the wet.

It took over 4 hours to get back from London today. 2 and a half on a good day.

Anyway, I cleaned it the minute I got home. So happy with it. Everyone rubber necks when they see it. :)

Zeds rule. :nana2:

Glad to hear you finally got the Zed home, been reading loads about it in your other posts, enjoy all the looks you get, the driving experience and the knowledge that every man that looks at you in your car while driving his Mondeo is turning to his wife and saying I bet he has a small dick cos hes jealous as fook of ya ;) ;)

Yeah, I've never understood that 'extension of manhood' phase. It's cobblers, because I'm quite well endowed.

Anyway, moving swiftly onwards....my other threads probably bored everyone half to death...but yes...it's mine now thank god.

:)

Taking it to its first meet on Sunday as well. :)

Yes ok he is on a minimoto not in his Zed........... LOL

Glad youve got it home at last Si!!

Now take it easy for the first few days and get used to it :D

All the best

I think driving your first zed in the wet is good for teaching respect for it hehe. It rained solid for 2 weeks after I bought mine lol.

The exact same thing happened to me .......no it wasnt a fiesta and indianzx wasnt involved but the minute i left the sellers house it started to rain bearing in mind the fookin sun had been out all mornin i hoofed the go pedal a bit and bam arse end out. The next few days will either make you or break you buddy, almost every day for 2 weeks i did something potentially disasterous but i learned limitations thats for fookin sure!!!

Great news Si, Look forward to seeing it on sunday (or saturday?)

What tyres do you have on her, she's a fresh import, and if she's wearing Rubber from Japan you'll find its absolutely rubbish. They are a much harder compound than what we run over here (even from the same manufacturers) and are especially useless in the wet.
