Brake disks and pads

Gents,

Has anyone got any old brake pads or disks that still have a little life on them (as in a couple of months), that they are willing to sell. I'm basically after the cheapest pair i can get so i can get the car running safely until i get the money to sort it right out. My discs are pretty dead even though the pads are ok but they might need deglazeing.

Any offers??

don't know if this is of any help but new pads are going on the front of mine just after the new year.

you are welcome to the old ones FOC, there are not scraping yet and should last a month or two!!

Cheers

Martin

Worn out pads on worn out discs is a recipe for disaster, by the time they've bedded in they'll either be totally buggered or you'll be in the back of a truck or in a ditch. I think it was Ajay who mentioned a source of cheap pads that were reasonable quality. Think they were about £20 per axle from some motor factors somewhere ...

If your discs are scored and not completely worn out then you might be able to get them skimmed.

discs are pretty much totally worn. pads still have half the life on them though so need to get discs.

I got mine for £19 from Beds Battery.

Contact them on 01234 340661. They do deliver as well, not sure if they charge for that or if there is a minimum order value as we generally just drive in.
