Mine has started to split, at the point indicated, and on the other side.

is this common, do i need to buy a new one or are there ways to repair and strengthen

i could be wrong (often happens) but........you have had your rear spoiler removed at some time. when this is done the problem piece i think is replaced as when the old spoiler is taken off it leaves a bit of a mess. could be its not fitted quite right????

At the end of the red arrow in the pic you can just see little white

specs, it actually looks torn on both sides as if someone had tried to prise

the black section outwards, will try get close up pic ;)

Been looking closer at your pic, is that the plastic trim that says fairlady z or has it been filled? when the spoiler is removed you can fit a trim that looks similar to what you have, but if its filled, as said earlier there is a good chance the filler has shrunk / cracked from the boot being shut.

I think you guys are probably right, unfortunately, it was removed before i got it, so know nowt about it :(
