I think the fronts are 5"s, but I will be stood corrected wink.gif

You can get 6/9's in the front with a little creativity, the rears in JSPec are some mickey mouse shape, I think I 7/5's go in.

Sorry I am Vague News, but I am in the grasp of some heavy heavy Benylin

:)

Im sure with a bit of effort 6x9 goes in the rear as Tooley managed to get them in.

I've got 6 1/2" speakers in my front doors, as far as I know the rears are 4x6" but have heard of people fitting 6x9"s in the rear...

Thanx for your help. Could anyone recommend good speakers to fit? My head unit is 47Watts per channel.

If I were you I would just concentrate on getting a good set of front speakers (maybe components) and amp to power them. For the rears, just power the standard ones off your head unit as they are just used for "filling".

I'd say Kenwood but I'm sure others have different ideas wink.gif

http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/ should help you - check the KFC-P703 for something that'll fit wink.gif You will need to cut the door cards for the tweeters but this is nothing major......

CheerZ,

Kenwood sounds good to me as I have just purchased a KRC/579R head unit and the KDC/301 slave to replace the original radio cass & cd. Thanx again...Rich

Yup!

Kenwood make a cushty MP3 Head Unit, plays CD, CDRW and MP3 from CDR.

160 toons on on 15p CDR, great stuff!

focal have just brought out a custom range for the z they look awesome but they aint cheap but they are very good......me thinks i'll be calling on young bob or mark soon as its close to xbox time and im running out of room to fit toys in the back these days

think the fronts are 61/2s and the rears are 6x4s but the plates on them are masive i got some 6x4s ant they fell through the hole in the bracket so i removed the bracket and got some 7x5s and fastened them in from underneth

then put the bracket back and that was fine

I have just purchased some 6x9 Kenwood KFC/6907 for the rear if they dont fit i'll try them in the front! The next problem I am having is that no-one seems to know what the two wires are for - for the arial socket behind the original clarion system as this does not meet up with the Kenwood as there is two pins instead of one! I rung one place and they wanted £15 for an adaptor which I thought was a lot of money just for the arial!

Richard,

Re the aerial adaptor, I just stuck the head units one on one of the two prongs and wrapped it up with tape. Highly technical I know, BUT its works fine. Now how did I get a job in IT, oh yeah now I remember every days a bit like that!

Top man big Roy. I owe u a drink if we ever get a meet together in North Yorks.

Thanx.... Rich..

I put Kenwood 5 X 7s in the back - tight squeeze with those - had to drill new holes and fit a baffle seal around the speaker. Doubt you can get 6 X 9s in the back without major mods.
