ive not had the Zed on the road for long (new turbos etc)

anyway

ive noticed when cruising, not using the tubs, which i do alot as there are lots of bends and proper city driving, no where to open her up

ive noticed that the oil pressure drops to about 0

comes up when u boot it but driving it nice and slowly it reads 0

this a bad thing??

is this the way NOT to drive a zed?

thanks

sounds like the sender is faulty, common on these beasts.

thats ok then

I would get an aftermarket guage on it mate, just to make sure. the stock guages are next useless.

Just to give another opinion. I had an almost similar problem with the oil pressure gauge dropping really low, particularly when warm and sitting at traffic lights etc. I recently changed the oil to a good quality fully synthetic oil and now I haven't seen it much below 30 since. Maybe try a different oil???

i took it to a good garage for the oil change recently

not sure on the oil used but they know the car and i trust them

think ill try that though soon

Known problem with the oil pressure sender, easy to change 10 minutes, no need to drop the oil even, however part is around £90 from Nissan, have changed scores of them.

90 quid?? OUCH

jeff u got a decent 2nd one i can have??

how much also

thanks

I had the same problem and the same worries on mine, put a digital aftermarket gauge in it, and it is almost double what the stock gauge reads... Rock steady at roughly 23psi/1000rpm. I've seen 75psi with the stock sender reading almost zero!
