I spoke to today with Henri, and he expressed an interest in going karting while over in London, and maybe meeting up with some of us at the same time.

 

So, i rang four kart tracks in London to find an open event on Monday or Tuesday evening next week.

Unfortunately, they are group bookings only in the evenings. Open sessions during the day. Obviously daytime is out of the question for most people.

 

So, next question, how many people would be able to ready/willing/able to attend an event at such short notice ?

Personally, as much as i would like to go, i think it might be too little time to get it organised.

 

But it's worth a try....

 

Bookings are 20-25 drivers dependent on track.

 

Tracks i contacted are :-

Playscape - Streatham - South London

F1 city - Docklands - East London

Daytona - Park Royal - West London

Kings X - Kings Cross - Central London (North)

 

Any i missed ?

 

 

I'm up for that Craig, if on monday Rupert can come along as well. I'm over in Cobham on Friday so if your about I could pass by your house to confirm.

Anyway, it's my company's xmas do on Monday so that's out but I MAY be able to come to a tuesday session, MAYBE.

okay, i called a couple of the tracks again, and they have no evening sessions free anytime soon.

 

so, what i will do is book for about the 2nd/3rd week in january, a weeknight, mon-thurs.

 

this will give us (me) more time to organise and sort money out again.

 

is this okay with everyone ? sorry to the northern guys about it being a weeknight, and therefore being more difficult to get down for, but it's easier to arrange...

 

steve, i'll put you down for the same number of places for the crash helmet gang ?

 

any objections to the same venue as last time ? streatham ?

they have sent me "special offer" prices for january bookings.......

 

Count me in. Maybe for 2 places, but I'll confirm that in the next few days and let you know.
