Hi all,

I'm having trouble getting insurance below £1200. I'm 44 with 2 years NCB. I have had 2 bike accidents in the last 5 years. First one was in 2002 and settled 100% not at fault, the second was in 2003 and still pending, I believe not to be at fault with this accident ether.

After searching this site for more info on how you guys manage to get cheap insurance, I phone Heritage. I requested a quote on a Jap Import NA 91, all was fine until I told them the car will be kept on the street over night which meant they could not give me a quote? Does this mean you guy have garages or off street parking? Has anyone got any ideas on how to get round this without selling the car?

Regards

Gerrard

It doesnt matter what you believe, its whether by law it has been set as your fault.

glad to hear it :)

theyve got a few zed owners on the books now, the more they get on, the better chance of even more competitive premiums for us all in the future

Once again guys thanks, I hope you don’t mind me asking?

I think I might have and answer for my insurance problem, a friend of mine who lives about 2 miles from my home address said I can park my car on his off-street parking space. Does anyone know if insurance companies will accept this?

Also the link below will take you to my car for sale/swap on eBay. Now, as stated in the add I only want to change my 300ZX Auto NA to get a 300ZX Auto Twin Turbo (White or Silver) I want one so bad, I wish I didn't as it would be so much easier to keep mine. So what I'm asking you experts is how realistic is my eBay add? Also just came in on eBay add is this 1991 Nissan 300ZX 3.0 Twin Turbo (2+2) Auto Coupe N/R going £999 (at the moment) apart from being a non running it’s what I want. It was found not enough oil getting to tappets in the N/Side head. Car is currently MOT'd and taxed but requires partial rebuild. Could it be, it just needs a new oil pump or should it be left well alone? Has any one experienced that problem before?

My brother in law keeps his Zed on my driveway because he hasn't got off street parking. As long as the address where the car is kept is clear on the policy, this will be fine...
