After having a new clutch fitted - somebody had not put the cable back in correctly near the gearbox. As i found out by picking up half a ripped wire that had been dragging on the ground.

Now, I have no reversing lights - Any idea what I need to wire to where?

I think they come on for half a second as you select reverse but then immediately go off.

Cheers

think you may struggle to reconnect it - I can't remember exactly where the switch is, but when I did my clutch I remember it was tight!! Soemone may know whether it's possible to reach from the top?? Other possibility I guess would be to put a new reverse switch in from above and re-wire?

Just re-reading your post, it's strange that the lights come on at all... afaik it's a make or break switch - no relays or anything

The switch is located on the drivers side of the gearbox IIRC. It's a pain to replace i'm afraid, mine waited till the gearbox came out :(

I dont think its the switch - I posted a while ago about this.

underneath the gearbox I had 2 connectors dangling in the road.

one had one end of a connector on and a bit of wire.

I dont know if one has come away from the switch on the gearbox or what?

but the other needs a cable going somewhere?

Cheers
