Crikes Im so confused at the moment love my Z but due to my age We figured out the other day that the costs on the car are £100 a week at least...

the car has never been unreliable..but thats just with insurance/petrol servicing etc etc

as some know Id like a 240z real nice one classic insurance etc sounds good..

But then I came across this beef of a sunny day car

In your honest opinions is it evil or what !!

That looks very quick

No reason why you shouldnt...

Only you can decide

Id want a test drive first though to see how the chassis handles the engine lump.

just for the record....

mines costing me £100 a week in juice alone...

not including the £2100 insurance or the bi-monthly rear tyre bill of £220....or the road tax or the bLiNg

Shit.,..£2100 insurance...wtf...thats a lot..

Petrol is a killer though a I drive too fast to often....have to.,....it's the law...

I am also thinking of a car like the one on ebay as I could then use it for fun and have a diesel astra as sensible car...hmmmm

I know it sounds good doesnt it

the money doesnt bother me its the principle of it... the insurance that is

and one of them for fun days seems good imagine the looks with your jet fighter helmet on!

Its an animal! Test drive it first though. My mate had one (no where near as good as that mind) and said it handled like a shopping trolley. It looks like such a fun car to rag around.

Mind you I'd love to have a 240Z in good nick, was it you that posted the picture of one the other day? I can't be arsed to find it now as I'm on dial up and its emotional!

They are doing a feature on a lovely one in J-tuner soon. They put pictures in the last issue.

Dave

No need to put a 300 engine in it, sure the cosworth one will do the trick.

yes mate It was I love them to especiall the way some american ones are modded

ie lowered nice wheels front splitter lovely looking

but they dont come up to often in the uk and when they do there over priced even when shite I wouldnt mind if it was fully restored!

the 2.8 with 230bhp in a 240z sounds nice aswell!

Shit.,..£2100 insurance...wtf...thats a lot..

indeed it is mate.....Thats what you get for declaring all mods and having a poxy postcode/no garage and 25,ooo per anum mileage policy.

I like tvrdb03's idea of getting a fast car on cheaper insurance ...sort of sunny day rainy day cars

But we aint got much sun. and youl end up paying insurance for 2 cars

still works out loads cheaper

That looks the muts. I'd go for it if I was you and if I wasn't so financially commited at the moment I would go for it.

  • 2 weeks later...

that looks an absolute BEAST!!!

looks awesome

that would scare me seeing that in the rear view mirror

as some know Id like a 240z real nice one classic insurance etc sounds good.

You mean like this?http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=10328

Like most kit cars it will be made of rivets and have sharp edges that cut you when you get in.

You'd be better of with an Elise or VX220 IMHO.

most of the kit cars are of the highest quality these days and provide a cheaper alternative to super cars

the tiger cat is the fastest accelerating legal car to 60mph!

2.8 seconds proven..

and yes pete just like that

So Are you having it or have you bottled out.

you can build one for 10k mate I was planning on building my own anyway If I went the kit car route! more fun that way

but theres plenty of other decent kits out there so need to take time and have a good look!!!

and ones with doors :smash:

You've got to take the plung and buy one. Building the kit is OK if you got the time. Otherwise it'll take 2 years and lots of head aches to sort and a lot can happen in two years.

Admit it your frightend it'll be too radical or "is it cos it's black, init" :slap:

Jesus BM....that's a lot you spend on your car. Glad mine's only going to be a garaged weekend/summer car.
