Hi im looking at a hks alc to go on our stock shorty are they any good and do they improve performance?

great bit of kit, i like mine, gear change is so much sharper.

Just fitted mine last night. Had it a while but only just got around to it. I wasn't sure what to expect but got to say, very impressed. A very worthwhile little mod and easy to fit.

may sound like a silly question but could it damage the box by fitting one of these if you dont get it rebuilt first.

It won't damage it but will highlight any faults and/or probs with it. I wouldn't fit it to nothing else than a 100% healthy auto.

can you explain how they work, i have one fitted and has done nothing. i think there is two lights one for power and one to show when it will change gear i was told this gets brighter the more throttle you put on then changes gear quicker than normal my light only does this if flat to the boards

oi shat it greg! the thing that went bang was my autobox. mebbe i should have kept the ALC in to see if it made my manual even quicker :smw: :smw: lol
