Hi all, sorry not been on for a while, (re-mortgage, new bird an so on.....) the Zed has took an almighty beating miliage wise over the last couple of months, and things are starting to feel a little sorry for themselve's in the engine department. It still starts first revolution but has a damn good go at stalling on pull off when warm. Basicly it needs a good service, where in the midlands is best to go or would i be better doing it myself?? Although i dont fancy the timing belt i could do the rest. If i choose to service the motor, who do i use for the parts?? ( plugs, filters, an most importantly OILS. Dont want to start the debate on oils so can i use this magnatech stuff or no? The car has done 107000 so i'm temted by it!!

Any help would be much appreciated cheers.............

Droitwich? You're not a million miles away from Jeff at Zedworld. He's in Tamworth.

Yeah Zworld iv'e chatted with in the past about the timing belt, nice photographic account of your motor stripped down with reg number in shot as your proof for history an so on, although a well respected member of this club who shall remain nameless did tell me he spend's more time putting right what they have done wrong :x: Kinda put's me off a little ya know.

May talk to them again about the belt and do the rest myself, if i get into any trouble i'm sure help is at hand through you guy's.

By the way, anyone on here had problem's with coil pack connector's coming loose?? My mate used MY car, :nono: to drop me an the bird in town satdy night and he picked us up with a miss fire  luckily it was the middle coil pack connector on the right hand bank just come loose slightly, clipped it back on an she was fine  Imagine my horror to walk round the corner to hear my pride an joy popping like a dropped exhaust valve at 12.30am, me 3 parts cut under the bonnet checking everythin in sight, IN THE BLOODY DARK, LOL.

Anyway's it seems ok now, PS cheers CHUNK, door seal arrived age's ago but like i said "aint been on for age's, thank your m8 for me ;)
