'92tt. Engine turns over wont fire..checked ECU-code 55 O.K. Checked spark on all 6-O.K. Plugs getting fuel..Any more ideas appreciated!

Could be the battery if you've left if for a while, try a charge or jump start.

 

The 300 requires a lot of power to get it going and the engine may not be quite turning over fast enough.

 

Could be battery...i had same problem...turns engine but not fast enough

 

Have a free battery check loads of places offer them

Re Help car wont start, thanks to Jez & Submarine for your comments but i did a compression test on a pot on each side & found 1 bar of compression, After removing timing cover found a bad split on one of the two short hoses. It looks like the culprit who stole it cooked the head, Ill check valve timing first if ok then it looks like

new Head gaskets. & head skimming.ie if the bottom end is ok Anyone who has done this job i would welcome your tips /advice.
