I got a 300zx TT on tuesday gone. Everything was fine and dandy and I was feeling uber driving my new 300+ bhp beast. That was until about 10 minutes after I got it out of the dealer and she wouldnt start.

Long story short... Very tempremental with starting. And when im at a standstill in drive, and go to pull away, she stutters and tries to cut out. Sometimes she cuts out, other time she holds in their and flies off.

Any ideas what the problem might be? I'm trying to find a decent service centre in the hertfordshire region, but no luck. Anyone know of any?

Cheers

Cheers for the replies. I took it to a garage today, they ran a diagnostic and checked it over and couldnt find the problem. I'm assuming this means its not something like the head gasket because surely they'de check that first as I told them it was smoking.

Shes starting ok now and running well if i keep the revs over 2000. And no sign of smoke today.

Maybe you should consider taking it down to a specialist now that it's driving? at least if it plays up any more. There are systems on the car that adjust to keep the car running smoothly at low revs (Auxillary Air Valve? maybe, can't remember off hand). Someone like Ryan at Ztech or the Zen Garage would probably have a good idea straight away.

She was running fine for a day or two, now shes trying to stall and starting problems again. Really tempremental. But good news! No more smoke! Must have been condensation.

Gonna take her down to ztech next week I think.

Good call, will save you hassel in the long run. Nissan dealers are a rip off, they just don't know anything about the Zed, especially the problems you get now that the car is a bit older. Those problems arn't in the workshop manual!

Hope you are enjoying the car when it does go though. Sorry about the problems.

Took her out for a spin. Pulled out of a notoriously slippy t junction. A bmw pulled around the car that was pulling into my street as I was pulling out so I had to floor it. I pulled the sweetest power slide ever, about 45 degree's for a couple of seconds and then controlled it back into straight and level :D
