My windscreen is misting up. Whatever i do with the heater/air con its still there. It was pretty serious this morning. Even opening the windows didn't clear it. I think there must be a vapour leak under the front driver side demister. Is this likely and whats the fix?

 

uhoh.... dont mean to be too pessimistic here coogs, but that sounds like another Z with heater core or similar problem :(

 

either that or excess moisture in the aircon unit, IE blocked drain, like i had.

 

have you felt the carpet in the footwells ?

 

even after fixing my matrix im still tryin to dry the car out because its doing exactly what uve just said. it might not be your matrix but you've defo got moisture in there somewhere if you have a garage with power stick a fan heater just outside your door leave the other door open and leave it blowing for a couple of hours

 

Have had the same thing happen today, not nice...I think it's coz my 'rec' button accidently got hit by me last night and has blown leaving the Air-con permanently in recirc. mode. Also starts to smell, I had a G reg Supra Turbo before my 'naughty Nissan' which would produce exactly the same symptoms if you had recirculate on instead of freshers from outside the car. Would steam up dead quick! Now have nice wet brand newish car mat on passenger side, cheers Nissan, something else for me to worry about!!!

tim the symptoms you e-mailed me are exactly the same ones i had aaaarrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh. let all of us z'ers pray that it's just a blocked air con pipe and not the matrix but with coolant coming in things are looking grim.

 

johnny you mexican bandito i'm not the one that has a green coloured car thats milk float coloured lol. i can see me being champion is not going down to well with you as can everybody else never fear m8 at least you have a quicker z at least. hehe for now anyway
